Yes, the trees are dropping their leaves quickly. Are you sick of raking leaves? This instructional video on the Scotts web page outlines the easy process of mulching your own leaves and why to do it.
Besides saving on time otherwise spent on bagging and maybe a trip to the landfill, mulching provides the grass with fresh nutrients. All that needs to be done is to take a few passes over the lawn with a rotary mower. Once the leaves are about dime sized, you’re ready to add nitrogen, which is available in turf building blends in your local home improvement store. Nature will take over from there. This works for up to 18” of leaves.
When spring comes again, your lawn come back greener and more lushly. If we can help you enjoy your yard more, give us a call.
